We Believe

There is only one true God, Creator of all that is. He is perfectly holy, just, loving and truthful. He has revealed Himself as one being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

The Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative written Word of God.

Humankind was created in the image of God to know and enjoy Him, but we willfully rejected the Lordship of God and the glory for which we were intended. Because of this, sin and its results- shame, guilt, hatred, violence, sickness, death, etc. - entered the world and all creation now experiences the effects and consequences.

Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is God's Anointed Messiah, empowered by the Holy Spirit to announce and lead the way to God's Kingdom on earth. He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected and ascended into heaven, and is alive today, in the presence of God the Father and in His people through His Holy Spirit.

We are saved by God's grace, through obedient faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ, and anyone can be restored to fellowship with God through repenting, believing and obeying Jesus as their Savior and Lord. The Holy Spirit, convicts, regenerates, justifies, and adopts us as we enter the Kingdom of God through a “spiritual birth” as His sons and daughters.

The Holy Spirit comes to live in and cleanse the Christian, empowering him/her to live a holy, forgiving, and loving life. The supernatural works of Christ are for today just as in the early church. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is poured out on believers that they might have power to be witnesses of Christ’s and workers of His works. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are to be activated in the believer’s life for the building up of the individual believer and the church.

The victorious, work of Christ on the cross provides freedom from the power of Satan, including freedom from sin, lies, sickness, torment and every other evil work, to those who repent and obey Christ’s commands to forgive.

The Church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. True faith is demonstrated by hearing and doing what is taught in Scripture. He gave His church practices such as Baptisms, Communion, Passover, the Sabbath, Pentecost, Atonement and other appointed times to meet with Him. The church is called to:

Meet together regularly and live a life of worship and service.

Enforce the victory of Christ in the spiritual war by destroying the works of Satan.

Carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ and further advance His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

The Lord Jesus Christ will return visibly in power and glory for His overcoming church. There will be a resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting death.
